ROLE:

The Senior Manager, of Enterprise Insights, leads the Enterprise Insights teams, which comprises of Client Insights, Analytics Delivery, Digital Analytics, and Research.  This role oversees the implementation of the Enterprise Insights (EI) Strategy, supporting its alignment with BCLC’s vision and strategies, playing an advisory role, and keeping an eye on internal and external influencers that may affect the business's future state. This role proactively develops, maintains, and manages the relevant working relationships with internal stakeholders (including senior leaders) and with applicable external stakeholders, including service partners, vendors, and governing agencies.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provides leadership to the Client Insights, Analytics Delivery, Digital Analytics and Research teams. Manages business requests, prioritizing the workload, advising on solutions, and delivering capabilities and Insights.
  • Oversees the implementation of the Enterprise Insights strategies, leading and executing prioritization strategies and advises internal clients on workload and resource management.
  • Develops, maintains, and manages high profile partnerships and/or collaborative working relationships with a wide variety of internal clients including senior leaders. Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) to the business, advising on Analytics best practices, solutions, providing recommendations on Enterprise Insights initiatives.
  • Develops and manages departmental operational budgets in collaboration with the Managers; may present business cases for capital or operational expenditures or high-risk financial decisions.
  • Oversees the development and implementation of Insights and Analytics business plans that aligns with the business units’ strategic direction and supports key initiatives for the enterprise.
  • Leads the development of and advises on the execution of Insights and Analytics engagement standards, policies, practices and/or procedures (including SLAs and intake guidelines), to ensure compliance and enforcement for the team and across the enterprise.
  • Manages vendor and external partner relationships and performance standards to provide line of sight to senior leadership.
  • Provides strong people leadership by championing BCLC’s vision, mission, and values.  Models leadership behaviors that support engagement of staff, and drives culture and change management initiatives.  Identifies and implements future-focused resource planning needs. Practices meaningful recognition, and coaches/mentors and develops others.

Skills and Requirements

Education and Experience

  • University degree in business, computer science, marketing or a relevant discipline;
  • 7 - 8 years relevant experience in research and business intelligence/business analytics/data analytics role, including experience leading Managers;
  • Experience in the gaming industry would be an asset;
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.

Technical Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of data analytic tools (Matillion, Snowflake, Collibra, Dataiku, Cognos, SAS, Qlik Sense or equivalents);
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations;
  • Ability to think quickly and respond appropriately to different audiences;
  • Excellent strategic thinking skills;
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering Business Intelligence projects across different line of business, providing product performance measurement and data-driven recommendations that influence the course of the business initiatives and drive insights;
  • Excellent team building and leadership skills, and proven ability to motivate, coach and develop;
  • Solid experience understanding business needs, assessing the best tools to support them and delivering solutions in an agile manner;
  • Demonstrated experience in developing the strategic design of a set of management reports and their presentation to a variety of audiences;
  • Ability to communicate strategic direction into a detailed plan of action and the details of complex processes succinctly to a non-technical audience.
