We service reputable retail and food service chains across North America with creative cakes and dessert solutions.

We are looking for an Inside Sales Specialist to join our corporate Sales team.

    Position Summary

    Reporting to the Sales Director, the incumbent will be responsible for converting inbound leads into sales.

    Inside Sales Representative Responsibilities

    • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
    • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
    • Looking after existing client accounts (processing orders, addressing clients' needs, etc.)
    • Growing the client accounts by constantly engaging them in ongoing discussions and new product offerings
    • Close sales and achieve sales goals
    • Sending samples to clients as needed
    • Monitoring competitors’ sales activities
    • Helping with admin duties for the Sales Director and the team (i.e. filling out new listing forms or other customer-related documents, buying tools for food shows, buying external samples for evaluation, helping the Sales Director to ship samples, etc.)
    • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
    • Supplying the management team with reports on customer needs or interests, potential new products or services, and competitive activities
    • Logging all sales activities on the CRM
    • Participate in food shows as needed
    • Assisting in marketing duties (i.e. brainstorming new ideas, correspondences with consultants, etc.)
    • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements

    • Minimum 3 years of relevant sales representative experience, preferably in the food industry
    • Track record of over-achieving quota
    • Strong phone presence and experience dialling dozens of calls per day
    • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office
    • Experience working with CRM
    • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English
    • University degree, college diploma or post-graduate in business;
    • Ability to influence decision-makers;
    • Excellent relationship management skills.
    • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
    • Strong problem-solving ability
    • Effective communicator
    • Can work independently
