Our valued client is a leading Bitcoin payment infrastructure platform that serves companies in 126 countries through Bitcoin Lightning Network-based products. Eliminate complexity and risk by providing superior technology solutions, including simple codeless, turnkey hosted checkout, e-commerce plug-ins, and APIs for custom integration. They are changing money and payments for every business everywhere. We are looking for a talented Senior UX researcher with experience scaling UX research initiatives.

    Responsibilities

    • Champion the user.
    • Become the expert on our users and their pain points, why they use OpenNode, different workflows, and desired outcomes.
    • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers on many projects simultaneously.
    • Conduct user research on planned/proposed features, through UX audits and with feedback from merchants.
    • Conduct interviews with users. Document and share these interviews to increase empathy.
    • Work with customer support teams to communicate user needs and how they might pertain to the help center and other technical communication materials.
    • Develop hypotheses to test with qualitative and quantitative experiments such as individual customer interviews, online surveys, focus groups, journey mapping, user flows, and information architecture definition. Conduct experiments to validate hypotheses and create insights.
    • Share research insights with design and engineering leadership in a compelling way to create empathy within the product/engineering team.
    • Create research insights that impact product development and business directives.
    • Validate feature and design direction through participatory design, early concept testing, formative and summative usability testing

Skills and Requirements

    Must have skills

    • Knowledge and experience with bitcoin.
    • Empathetic, curious, and inquisitive.
    • Ability to work and collaborate in a fast-paced fully remote environment.
    • Previous experience with platforms as a service (PaaS) or software as a service (SaaS) companies.
    • Have Bachelor's degree in design, psychology, or related field.
    • Experience with Figma, Github, ticketing systems, and other tools used by engineering, product, and design teams
    • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative user experience monitoring platforms (Mixpanel, hotjar, etc.)

    Nice to have skills

    • Background in human psychology.
    • Previous experience in fintech, finance, or eCommerce.
    • 4+ years of experience.
    • Experience in startup environments.
