We are looking for a Senior Software Developer who will be a part of a digital change at a fast-growing company that is redefining the way businesses and individuals do good around the globe. Our valued client is a Calgary-based startup that provides charitable donation and grant-management platforms. They are one of the most prominent startups in the Western Canada Region and still growing fast. They helped over 650+ companies (still counting!) establish stronger cultures and empower their staff and customers to achieve higher social and business impacts via donating, volunteerism and grantmaking.

Responsibilities

  • Consider scale, data, and performance while creating systems
  • Gratification from making code/processes/people better than they were before you arrived
  • Accept the notion that businesses should be socially responsible

Skills and Requirements

Must have skills

  • Have over 7+ years of solid professional experience as a software development experience with PHP or Java.
  • Have experience with cloud-based services including AWS or GCP.
  • Very familiar with JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
  • Proven record of developing software that is high-quality, manageable, tested, and scalable.
  • Outstanding communication skills: you can grasp user demands and convert them into work that teams can understand.
  • Mentoring, Coaching skills: you can do mentoring and leading engineers and help them to develop their skills
  • Have Large-scale Enterprise Experience
