  • You will create an industry-leading customer experience for home media solutions that include high performance, reliability and flexibility in its design. You will be the go-to person for code components as well as how they fit into the overall architecture and the company’s seamless solution.
  • Design and build cloud-based microservices that are simple, efficient and also maintainable.
  • Use DevOps values to make design decisions that support key operational requirements such as configuration, logging, and monitoring.
  • Assume responsibility for your components over the whole development lifecycle, including implementation, testing, and deployment support.

  • Work with senior architects to find efficient architectures and mentor/lead more junior development personnel.
  • Estimate the time and effort required to complete your end-to-end implementation responsibilities, and assist our technical leads in developing unified and consistent delivery plans.
  • Use containers and other cloud-native tools to your advantage.
  • Advancing a compelling range of technologies and services, from consumer front ends to streaming and content protection, to user entitlements and payments, we are enabling future possibilities for our customers.
  • Contribute to a diverse, knowledgeable, and highly driven team that uses
  • SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) principles to deliver high-value software to market on a regular basis.

Skills and Requirements

Must have skills

  • Have over 7 years of object-oriented software development expertise, including technical team lead experience, demonstrated technical leadership abilities, and confidence in making and owning technical choices.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or electrical engineering is required.
  • Building REST or Web Services from the ground up
  • Expertise in defining and combining SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experiment with hosting and executing your apps/services in a containerized environment.
  • Experience with testing frameworks, as well as manual and automated methods for implementing and testing features and functions.
  • Agile development methods, DevOps best practices, and a contemporary CI/CD pipeline are all recommended.
  • Experience with secure design and coding practices
  • Building excellent relationships and collaborating with a wide range of groups and technical teams is a plus.
  • Communication abilities that are both verbal and written are essential.
  • In a high-ambiguity setting, a creative approach to problem-solving and the capacity to work independently to manage deliverables are essential.

Nice to have skills

  • Highly performant in microservices architectures
  • Skilled with Kubernetes - ideally EKS or GKE and eCommerce
  • Hands-on experience with API management gateways (e.g. Apigee)
  • Extensive knowledge of video delivery architectures
  • Well-versed in the Telecommunications industry
