Our valued client provides information technology solutions for the farming industry. It offers variable rate technology and precision agronomy service for applications in the areas of fertility, seeding, fungicide and top dressing. This company aims to help farmers grow with outcomes that can be measured through its technologies. You will be joining a team of determined and talented developers who value collaboration, challenging themselves, as well as creativity. We are looking for an experienced DevOps Developer who can work closely with our technical leads to identify best practices, solutions and execute them.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current technology within the company, such as cloud infrastructure, develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them
  • Maintaining the IAC scripting and Design, develop it for all environments
  • Monitoring metrics to ensure the system is healthy and secure
  • Manage CI / CD processes, pipelines and tools for both mobile and web
  • Ensure all best practices and procedures as established by industry and the company are being met
  • Implement all corporate security requirements within our environment or assist the Cloud Infrastructure Team to do so

Skills and Requirements

Must have skills

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a software / web-application developer
  • Have strong knowledge of Azure, GCP or other cloud platforms
  • Proficient or very familiar with C#, .NET Core, MS SQL Server, Visual Studio / Azure DevOps (much preferred), AWS DevOps, Server Client Architecture, Web API, GIT
  • Proficient with the Configuration Management, such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar
  • Proficient with Containerizing & Clustering, such as Compose, Docker, Dockerfiles, ECS, Kubernetes
  • Have experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.
  • Very Proficient with Linux, less so Windows system administration background
  • Experience maintaining and deploying secure, highly available, fault-tolerant systems at scale
  • Able to present and communicate the architecture in a visual form
  • Have experience with database design, complex query development and SQL Server Management Studio
  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT / Programming or related field
  • Demonstrated adherence to best practices, excellent communication and documentation skills
